Visitor's visa for my parents expired recently (it was a 5 yr VISA & they visited here 3 times and returned within 6 months each time) and they want to re-apply for a visa. My question is - Do I still need to send in the Document of Support, Employer and Bank letter or they can re-apply without these documents? On the safer side, I am sending the documents but in my view there should not be a need for the support documents...Anyone in similar boat?

I am not sure if its a new rule to get an NOC from the husband, but as far as i know NOC is required only for Govt Employees. Make sure you really need one for getting a passport for an individual. If your wife is a Govt Employee then she may need one from the Govt/Office where she works.

This is a standard response message which comes after USCIS receives the response to RFE and resumes case processing.
There is no way to determine when the case would be adjudicated and what will be the result. It could happen next week or take months.

My case is currently at the local West Palm Beach office in FL and I have moved to TX. I filed online AR-11 and change of address for my pending I-485 (EB3 India 2003). I received a letter stating:
After careful review of your request, it has been determined that your issues will be best addressed by the USCIS office having jurisdiction over your case. Therefore we have taken the liberty of forwarding your service request, number to the Missouri Field Office.
I don't know what the Missouri field office has to do with anything. What are my options at this point? Can I request them to not change the local field office (to minimize the chance of screwups)?

Only during I 140 USCIS will ask for Exp letter whatever you showed in PERM. I think your previous exp should be related to your new job role.

Hi,
Im having my H1B and 140 approved with my current employer. Now I got into a situation where in I need to file a new H1B with a new employer through whom im working on a project.But once my H1B is approved, my new employer will dismiss/cancel the new H1b Filed, as they just need to show that they filed a H1B for me.
Will this be a problem for my current 140 and GC processing or my existing H1B?
Coz that Im not going to use my new H1B, I can still continue using my current I94 right!
Any issues if my new H1b gets rejectd or queried!

Hi all,
I had my h1 issued in nov '09 and was laid off from the company in march '10. However, I was able to secure other position in the same company a month later. But now the company wants me to exit/re-enter the country (and get my visa stamped) before starting the new position.
Since I was technically out of status for the month of April (and don't have any paystubs for the same), will it be difficult to get my h1 visa stamped? Also, can I get my stamping done in Canada, or will I have to my home country?

When exporing new oppty's via AC21 with companies:
is it Ok to share copy of one's 140 or 485 document copies?
approval notice copies should be ok (check with company's HR if in doubt). However supporting financial/planning documents of a company may not be ok (that kind of stuff could be confidential to the company)
