Yeah that's the million dollar question, schedule A workers allready have 50K qouta, but that kicks off only after the regular EB3 numbers becomes unavailable, so they first use the regular EB3 number. Now they might have kept the status qou on that rule(first use regular EB-3 quota) and then instead of giving a fixed 50K quota they may use as many numbers after that. So basically what I'm saying is for non schedule A workers this amendment may not mean any thing.
It's a pessimistic view, but that's how immigration system have been in past 3-4 years.
Guys a little confused.
How does removing the cap from Schedule A, benefit the rest of us?

can they even withdraw 140 after more then a year now?
employer can withdraw the 140 any time before the approval of 485 - there is no time limit.

I finished calling all Senators for the 2nd time. It feels good talking with them about my green card. I also called my Senators in CA. The person on the phone said they support CIR and green cards.

Received an email from CRIS yesterday. They have issued a FRE on my I-485. I can not think of anything. My immigration history is clean, no status issues, ever. I remember submitting all the docs during July fiasco. I am waiting for the actual RFE letter to arrive.
Only good part is - there is someone "OUT THERE" who looked at my file.

Resources are contributed by the members.

I emailed them not as me but as my employer( point of contact mentioned in the labor petition) and it works they send me a copy of the labor approval to my house along with a copy to my employer and one to my attroney. It really works.

I'm just waiting for them to start working on the 2002 cases now, since everyone who applied later already got their greencards it seems. :(
I think it is sooo unfair that someone who applied in 2005 already got a green card and taking the visa numbers when others have waited 3 or 4 more years(!) extra have to wait even longer. That is something for IV to fight for...

These are all good thoughts but what u are suggesting takes some time.
The issue has two legs:
Leg 1: Process fix
Leg 2: Increasing number of greencards
What I am talking about is leg 1 and what you are talking about is for leg 2
and both are required.
Even for leg 1 - unless it is organized, nothing is going to be effective. What you suggest is an immediate action going back and forth based on frustration due to recent happenings - and I say it maybe good but not the most effective.

True - it applies to everyone. The difference is, some people look at it as fate, some people try to do best out of it and some try to do something for betterment. IV and some serious IV members are of the third type whereas the reast of folks are first and second types :)

But why should we lose the PD that we've been hanging on to for so long. For all we know, they might retrogress EB2 next - with USCIS, there's no room to take chances. I'm on my 10th yr here and don't want anything to go wrong at this point.

If your business is a sole proprietorship, you do not need to register your business with the state.

Your choices include sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, "S" corporation or limited liability corporation (LLC). C Corp will be double taxation. While S corp is not.

So personally i prefer C-corp... there will be less questions in the future. I donot know if i'am right or wrong. Professionals out there can correct me if i'am wrong.

Now the company divides the profit and gives it to its owners (you), and you get taxed for the dividends. bottomline - if C-corp, then it is like investing in the stock market.
